Do you remember that first spark of hope you felt when you watched The Secret? I clearly remember the desire that filled my heart, knowing that – Yes, I can make my dreams come true – FINALLY!
But how many of you soon saw that hope dwindle into frustration? How many of you and be honest now, started muttering things like:
“It seems to work for other people, but I just can’t get it right.”
“I’m frustrated that sometimes I can get it to work, but sometimes I can’t. What’s the trick?”
“Why am I having so much trouble?”
“I think the universe is against me.”
“I’m trying very, VERY hard but still nothing is happening!”
Don’t worry, you’re not alone. About 97% of people also couldn’t make the Law of Attraction work for them the first time round. Think about it, just like anything else, you have to practice many times before you see success. A child doesn’t learn to walk without falling over a couple of times, right?
But in practice, everything is easier said and done. When you’re frustrated, it’s hard to stay positive. And it’s especially harder to stay positive when the evidence all around you is screaming negativity like the unstable economy or senseless acts of violence such as those recently seen in Syria.
And do you know what happens when you fail to stay positive? That’s right – you start attracting negative things in to your life. It's so true, you are what you think you are.
So how can you make the Law of Attraction work for you without getting frustrated? How do those who successfully implement the Law of Attraction do it with such confidence and finesse?
Well, here’s three quick tips so you will never feel frustrated or tired of begging from the universe, because you know how to start manifesting like a pro.
1. Allow Yourself To Receive
Just like a lost child who approaches a police officer and asks, “Excuse me Sir, can you tell me how to go to the post office? Can you? Can you? Can you? Can you? Can you?” Well, if the child goes on and on asking, the police officer can’t even give an answer, right?
Well, it’s the same thing with your mind. If the only thing your mind is doing is transmit, transmit, transmit, the universe — which is trying to respond — can’t give you a single thing because you’re not allowing yourself to receive!
So, have the confidence in yourself and stop exhausting yourself by running around person to person begging for riches, and then wondering why nobody is dropping a penny in your cup (Hint: It’s because you’re running away too fast for them before they can even reach for their wallets).
Just think of your desires and leave it out there, go away, and trust that your cup will be filled with gold coins (or whatever it is you asked for) when the time is right.
2. Be Patient With Yourself
Receiving takes time.
Sadly, many people give up just a couple of steps before the finish line because they’ve decided that if it’s not working by now, it’s never going to work at all. Worse still are those who throw in more and more energy because they think that with more resources, the results will come faster.
This is like expecting 9 mothers to conceive and deliver a baby in 1 month. You also can’t bake cookies in half the time by doubling the temperature. You’ll incinerate those cookies to ashes!
In simple terms: Everything in this world has a natural development time, and this fact will not change no matter what resources you throw at it.
So relax and be patient. Remember that you too, as part of the universe, are also governed by the laws of the universe, and you cannot change the natural development time.
If you remember this, you will less likely work yourself up into frustration, or worse, push yourself into a downward spiral of negativity.
3. Support and Educate Yourself
Like the child who is learning how to walk, you need support. You also need to guidance on how to do it, and also the role models to look up to.
Many people give up because they think that “The Secret” is the “be all and end all” solution. Well, it’s NOT. “The Secret” is just a small portion. It was never intended, and has never been, the whole answer.
Coming to the conclusion that the Law of Attraction doesn’t work when all you ever did to educate yourself was watch “The Secret” 19 times (without looking at changing the habits of other areas of your life) is like coming to the conclusion that exercising is not an effective way to lose weight because all you did is run on the treadmill for 2 hours a day (but you’re still stuffing yourself with fried foods and cheesecakes).
So seek and be hungry for new knowledge. Also, make an effort to be amongst people or communities where you can support each other, learn from each other and also share new knowledge that you have found.
While the Law of Attraction is not an overnight delivery service, it will indeed deliver, if you do your part too!

The Secret behind The Secret
There has been so much said about The Secret and at first the information suggests there is a simplicity about using the Secret, that all one has to do is think and vizualize whatever their desire and it will be so. The Secret has a secret beind it, untold ways of using its' power.

The Secret is the Law of Attraction
The most powerful forces in nature are the invisible forces, as we feel the wind and see the results of its' frightening power and destruction, it is invisible to our sight. So it is with man, his power in his invisible force, his spiritual force and this can only be manifested through the power of his mind.
Every thought brings into action brain activity, nerves and muscles act on each thought's command, he creates from a thought, an idea forms and from the thinking process produces a miracles of medicine, a flying machine, the wheel and electricity, all from the power of thought.
So it is with the Secret, mans' ability to create, formulate and devize with his invisible power, his mind.
We know that the Secret is aligned to the Law of Attraction, that if we desire we can have by using the power of our thought. The Secret book would have us believe that if we chant our affirmations, visualise and live our desires, our dreams, they can be attained. This, I believe, is true, forif our desires and our wanting for our dreams to come true are strong enough , we will, on occasion go to great lengths to achieve them.
However, we allow our dreams and desires to be just that, they are wishesand hopes that may come true,we say 'if only, maybe one day', they sit in piles of regret, for these are the 'I wants and needs'sitting in the mind of a limited believer.
However, when our desire for possessions or the love of a person is so deep, it's like a fire burning us up, it becomes a passion. Do we not make up our minds to have that desire, that passion quenched? We plan and scheme on how to obtain that desirable possession or person, we have visions of when we have it, what life will be like with it, our imagination runs riot but the resolve is firm, then the request is sent out from our subconscious mind to the Universe and the Law of Attraction is activated.
What happens when this activation occurs, we listen to that little voice which is our subconscious and heedthe ideas, make the changes and take the actions that will result in the success we seek. We open ourselves to receive information and astound ourselves and ask why we hadn't thought of that before. The point is wealready had the information and the ability, we choose to not to believe in ourselves, our limiting belief in our own power keeps us in the Land of Hope and Dreams instead of the Universe of plenty.

Is there a Secret behind The Secret
You’ve heard of “The Secret,” right? Well just in case you haven’t seen it,
the movie claims to reveal “The Secret” to manifesting whatever you want in life –
more money, your ideal relationship, perfect health. Quite a claim, huh?
It’s no surprise that “The Secret” has become so popular so fast. For many
of us it’s getting pretty old hat.
What I would like to do here is to talk about the key insight offered to us
“The Secret” and also discuss how the way it is presented has three main pitfalls
which lead people to conclude: “Oh that doesn’t work!” We’ll then discuss how
to overcome those shortcomings so you really can live the life you are MEANT
to live! Does that sound good? Well, let’s get started!
IThe Secret has met incredible success, and was followed by many other books and tapes on the Law Of Attraction. However, most of the authors don’t understand the Power they are dealing with, and their teachings can actually be harmful, both for individuals and for the world.
It’s like telling people about nuclear power and teaching them to build a devastating nuclear bomb in their backyard instead of a personal Power Station.
The Secret as it is shared today is dangerous and should be counterbalanced. This can only be done by dissipating the current confusion and misunderstandings that surround the Law Of Attraction.
Just the fact that there are so many, tends to prove that what they teach is not efficient. It is also strange that most of them don’t have a ‘real’ job, but make a living talking about personal development stuff.
How relevant could their knowledge be to regular people who have one job, and sometimes two, and struggle to make ends meet?
I was talking to a friend a few weeks ago about “The Secret” and was precisely that, “Oh, ‘The Secret’, that’s old news. It’s been disproved anyway, you know.” Knowing that she is in a place where her life is not going the way she would like it to go and knowing that she has tried much of what is presented in “The Secret”, I understood her position.
I guess they have no other choice and act out of ignorance – I don’t blame them. The rest may be genuine in their willingness to help others, but they lack real knowledge to do it.
“The Secret” begins with the idea that there is a secret knowledge that thegreat minds throughout human history have known and used to create their greatachievements. The list of those who knew The Secret is impressive. It includes such figures as Lincoln, Emerson, Edison, and Einstein. The premise is that if we
also had this knowledge, we could create great things as well.
So “The Secret” is old news, very old. If it is new to us, it is simply because it has been kept hidden, like a treasure only for those worthy of it.
According to the producers of “The Secret”, this knowledge was “banned” and is now revealed again, to us, so what does “The Secret” tell us?
Firstly, The Secret tells us that we are responsible for our own experiences.
Our lives are the way that they are because of choices we make, intentions that we hold, thoughts and feelings that we entertain, and actions we take. I’d call that a good start. No great secret, but a good start.
As OprahWinfrey said of The Secret, “I didn’t knowthat was a secret. I just thought that that is the way life is.” If that is the way life is, then what has been “disproved” about “The Secret?” Well, “The Secret” goes on to discuss the POWER OF INTENTION and THE LAW OF ATTRACTION.
The basic theory goes like this: if you want something, you put out your intention to have it, then, you visualize and feel it as if it is something you already have. You follow this up with appropriate action to make it real. When you do this, you attract that thing into your life.
Sounds simple enough, too simple, for there is a secret behind the Secret and forgotten Laws to follow.
